![]() Twenty members of our band earned All-Shore honors, while we had one All-Region band honoree and one All-State band member. We had notable success off the field as well: five members of our choir were named to the All-Shore Chorus and two were named All-State. We had District Wrestling Champions (one state-place winner), Monmouth County Champions, Shore Conference Champions and an individual State Sectional Champion, in addition to a number of career milestones. Our Girls Bowling team won their second consecutive State Sectional Championship, while Girls Soccer and Gymnastics were Overall State Champions. During the 2017-18 school year, Freehold Township High School captured 8 division championships. Our sports teams compete in the highly competitive A-North Division of the Shore Conference. Many team and individual championships have been won over the years. The activity program also includes a full complement of interscholastic varsity sports. All of the clubs, student publications, organizations and societies that exist form part of the student activity program and combine with the excellent academic program of the school and district, to define the total curriculum at Freehold Township High School. The FFA Chapter, transferred to this school from Freehold High School in 1972, is the oldest chapter in the State of New Jersey. The school chapters of Octagon and the Junior State of America (JSA) provide students with an opportunity to study and become involved with political issues on the local, national, and international scenes. These programs are essential and integral to the delivery of the total educational program.Īn expanded Peer Leadership program supports peer mediation, new student orientation, and the ninth grade transition project. ![]() The student activity program at Freehold Township High School includes a variety of clubs that are related to and support the various academic offerings. In addition, members of the Class of 2018 earned over $75,000 through our Work-Based Learning Program. Members of the graduating class earned over $19.7 million in scholarships, grants, and financial aid. Approximately 94% of the class of 2018 is pursuing further education at a college, university, trade, or technical school. We also had 18 students earn the prestigious International Baccalaureate diploma. In 2018, five students were named Commended Scholars through the National Merit Scholarship Program and 25 students were recognized as AP Scholars of varying levels. Students have historically scored well on a wealth of standardized tests including the SAT, the PSAT, the ACT and in the Advanced Placement testing program. A comprehensive, developmental school counseling program provides career, academic and social-emotional programs, as well as individual and group counseling, to assist students in reaching their full potential. Advanced Placement courses are offered in 25 areas. Freehold Township High School introduces and reinforces common learning, while also providing access to exploratory, enrichment, and specialized courses of study in accordance with state standards and graduation requirements. Freehold Township is also home to the Global Studies Magnet Program, the Animal and Botanical Sciences Magnet Program, and the Patriot Employment Program (PEP) which is an employment orientation program for developmentally disabled students. We are proud to be one of 16 high schools in New Jersey to be recognized as an International Baccalaureate World School. Township houses programs unique to the Freehold Regional High School District. The educational program at Freehold Township High School encompasses more than 180 courses, organized in thirteen different academic disciplines. School enrollment is approximated at 2,044 for the year. Situated on 110 acres in western Monmouth County, the comprehensive academic program provides educational opportunities for all in accordance with individual needs, interests, and abilities. ![]() Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New Jersey Department of Education, the Patriot school community was created in 1972. Free hold Township High School is one of six schools in the Freehold Regional High School District.
